About the Event
Scrum@Scale LIVE and ONLINE!
Scrum@Scale is the scaling framework created by the inventor of Scrum, Jeff Sutherland. From Fortune 100 companies to start-ups, Scrum@Scale® transforms organizations into Agile enterprises. Scrum@Scale naturally extends the core Scrum framework to deliver hyper-productive results across industries and disciplines. This includes software, hardware, services, operations, and R&D.
This two-day live, online course qualifies students to take the Certified Scrum@Scale Practitioner (CS@SP) exam and become Certified Scrum@Scale Practitioners. The class provides an overview of how to implement Scrum with thousands of teams. You’ll learn the principles to efficiently transform your organization to minimize decision delay and to reduce waste. This course also allows you to assess the Scrum maturity level of your organization during the two-day class and leave with a plan on how to make the necessary changes to scale Scrum. You will leave with a heat map, impact map, and material to help you scale and refactor your organization.
This class is also available for private in-person, onsite delivery.
Who should attend
This course is geared toward scrum masters, product owners, executives, or anyone with knowledge of Scrum and looking to scale their Scrum implementation across the organization.
The Scrum@Scale® course teaches the responsibilities of the Scrum roles and events at scale and enterprise leadership in a variety of large-scale implementations.
The course covers:
Learn Distributed Scrum
Are you or your organization challenged by globally distributed teams? No need to worry, our instructors are experts in distributed Scrum collaboration. In addition to Scaling Scrum, our students will also learn the principles for effective collaboration in distributed Scrum environments. This is an interactive class with lectures, exercises, demonstrations, facilitated discussions, and games to illustrate the principles being taught and to maximize your understanding. Students will interact using the same tools and skills necessary for effective distributed Scrum collaboration. These include:
Access to Your Own Learning and Coaching Community
In addition to the course material, you'll have access to a video recording of the class. This will allow you to review the training sessions as you prepare for the certification exam and put your new knowledge to work. Moreover, you'll be able to connect with your fellow students and instructor, before and after class via classroom team channels. These channels help to build a community of Scrum@Scale practitioners that lives long after the class sessions.
SEUs and PDUs
You'll be able to claim 14 Project Management Institute (PMI)® Professional Development Units (PDUs) and 16 Scrum Educational Units (SEUs) with the Scrum Alliance after completing this course.
Refunds: Refunds can be requested at least 10 business days prior to the event start date; from then on attendees are subject to the full registration cost. Substitutions are welcome at any time before the start of the event. Registrants who fail to attend are subject to the full registration cost but can transfer to another class after paying a $200 processing fee. To obtain cancellation approval or substitute a registration, please call us at 954-784-3674.
Certifications: Upon successful completion of our class you will be registered with the Scrum Alliance as Certified Scrum Masters. Part of your ability to get certified includes the following expectations:
1 - that you will be present for our full two days together, and
2 - that you will be engaged and participating during our two days together.
Please note that presence alone does not qualify participants for certification, nor does knowledge of the subject matter coming into class. Working in class on personal and/or business activities, such as email, or being absent from the session for external meetings or other activities are not acceptable. If you choose to engage in such behaviors you will not be made certification-eligible by the instructor.
Use of electronics in class: Unlike other training sessions you may have experienced, our classes expect an extensive amount of interaction and participation. We encourage note-taking, but the old-fashioned way with pen and paper. This tends to increase retention compared with taking notes on a laptop or pad while minimizing distractions, not only for the note-taker but also for others in the class. We therefore ask that you only bring electronics for use during breaks.
Cancellations: An unforeseen circumstance may force a class to be canceled in spite of our best intentions. Should that occur you are welcome to transfer to another Winnow Management class or receive a full refund limited to the amount you paid at the time of registration.
